     Sweetnam's Nik Naks is a family owned and run novelty, souvenir and everyday items retail store and has had several locations throughout BC, Canada over the past 14 years as we have grown and evolved our business into what it is today.

     Daniel & Daphne along with their two sons Josiah and Samuel started the Sweetnam's in Salmo, BC, 14 years ago. While having a grand vision of what they wanted the store to become they took the opportunities offered to them and moved 5 years later, to Barriere, BC. In Barriere, Sweetnam's Store has grown and become a staple business in the community, offering a wide variety of gift-wares, toys, candies and everyday household products with competitive prices.

     Yet, as big as the business had grown it still wasn't filling the vision they originally had, so, almost 3 years ago they opened a second business in Barriere called, "Sweetnam's Nik Naks", focusing more on the fun, unique and unusual gift-ware, toys, candy and novelties; in short a very simplified version of the toy store from the movie, "Magorium's Wonder Emporium", with added fun gifts and collectibles for all ages.

     "Nik Naks" was still under the direction of Daniel & Daphne, but was also a joint project for Josiah and Samuel to try their own hand at having a business. It quickly grew and Josiah decided he was ready for the bigger city, so on June 19, 2014, we opened the "Sweetnam's Nik Naks" Store in Kelowna, BC, located in the downtown Kelowna Towne Centre Mall, while Samuel continued to help run the Barriere Store and studied Web Design, (Which he is now putting to good use helping design this cool new website you are on), and "Gramma", Lorraine Sweetnam, joined the team continuing to help "Nik Naks" grow and be a fun place to visit.

     The Kelowna "Nik Naks" store has grown and evolved once again to become the closest store to our dream version yet. With a wide variety of licensed collectible gift-ware, toys, magnets, novelties, drink-ware items, added to our many unique metal wine-holders, everyday items, beach items, souvenirs and The Bradford Exchange Gift-ware, "Nik Naks" is truly becoming what we always dreamed of owning.

     Our vision is to continue to grow "Sweetnam's" to fill the needs of our customers and the gaps left by other retailers, to build a retail business where people can find the unique and fun products at good prices while offering excellent customer service and a friendly, inviting atmosphere.
